    VPA Membership Meeting Schedule ~ 2007

  Our January 2007 VPA meeting was held in Lexington, VA during the Mid-Winter Horse Sale [at the Virginia Horse Center] on January 20th, 2007. 

A General Membership meeting will be held at the VA Horse Center in Lexington, VA during the Southern States Showdown weekend.  Plans are to meet in a [marked] class room by the stable office at 6 PM on Saturday. Youth & Amateurs will meet following the general meeting. Hope to see you there! 

 

VPA News

Our VPA Youth are forming an affiliate! Please be sure to visit their pages, the link is on the right-hand column. Not to be out-done, several of our amateur members are looking into forming the VPAA. Please check our March newsletter for details! 

An American Buckskin Registry Assoc affiliate has been formed in Virginia & the surronding states! Since most palomino breeders end up with some buckskins [and most buckskin breeders get some palominos] this should be of interest to many of our VPA members. Also, there's the likelihood that the two groups can, in the future, have joint ventures. For more information about the Old Dominion Buckskin Assoc, please email ODBA president, Julie Slemp, at TRIPLEJNA@aol.com

AQHA Single judged show on Friday with AQHA & PHBA classes on the 9th & 10th [split combined shows]. Professional Auction Eastern Summer Horse Sale to be held in the Eastern Complex.  We all know what great shows Southern States sponsors so be sure to attend!

Virginia Palomino & Buckskin Show

Sept 29th 

Merry Oaks Stables, Windsor, VA   

PHBA & ABRA double judged approved shows. [VPA & ODBA sponsored.] This will be the first joint venture between VPA & the newly formed Old Dominion Buckskin Assoc. Open classes are also offered. Discounts for pre-entries!!! Showbill can be filled out & mailed in or go to Show My Horse to view showbill, enter classes, etc.
